I am not so sure a deal has been reached per se and hence some hesitation still persists.
I understand that the date has shifted and that sentiment /expectations are improving that a deal will be struck...............WASHINGTON, May 28 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden and Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Sunday signed off on an agreement to temporarily suspend the debt ceiling and cap some federal spending in order to prevent a U.S. debt default.
The deal, written into legislative text that they hope will be passed by the House of Representatives and Senate in the coming days, was formally posted on an official congressional website.
