It is because they know more positive news is coming. Taking a mid-term view, based on the large-scale early conversion of options, a buyout or partnership deal is on the cards within 12 months.
Just a waiting game from here - the big boys can play games in the meantime, but it will not affect the final outcome. You only lose when you sell.
