I cant answer for slick but I dont pay CGT on stock trades - as a trader I have opening stock and closing stock at the beginning and end of each financial year the cost of doing business brokerage , internet connection trading platform costs , interest costs depreciation on computers mobile phones etc when deducted either leave a taxable profit or a taxable loss that can be carried forward to later years .
Profits are taxed at your marginal rate and can be offset against other business holdings either active or passive.
