Compared to any financial qualifications, a degree in crowd psychology is probably the better grounding for successful share trading. The next best thing must be the art of T.A. for visualising changes in sentiment in response to historical and contemporary SP actions, driven by market makers and company announcements.
Having said that, long term company performance depends on fundamentals and management. If IMU is going to be a cork, it will float, if not it will sink.
I am a lousy trader, just kicking myself for not selling at 47 and buying back at 35, could have done it twice and double my shareholding, but I did not. Good luck to those who did pull it off. I am simply happy not being on the wrong side of a trade and keeping my shareholding intact.
