Question for you @slick if you have some time to answer.
Does shorting increase when markets are in decline or are they pretty much the same when markets are rising?
Seems, to me at least, logical that shorters would get more chance to benefit when they short stocks that have more chance of declines in SP values because the market is softening - but that could be way off the mark with my limited knowledge of shorting stocks.
