- anything you have held for 12 mnths or more and decide to sell - you get your 50% discount
- anything that you buy and sell before the 12 months play, you end up paying tax on 100% of capital profits .....**these profits will be added to your assessable income for the year and hence taxed on what ever bracket you fall into
- what Slick & some on here have suggested - have a diff entity for trading as opposed to buy n hold in your own name for long term play - always best to talk to a good account about these matters
