Sadly I feel it’s more likely to be a consequence of huge number of shares out there, which can be brought into play by the shorters at a time they deem fit.
It doesn’t matter how good the science is, if getting there has required an understandable number of years and consequent capital raises, many of those shares are held by people who don’t have the slightest interest in a cure for cancer.
