This stock went from oversold to overbought during period of time where retail investors were net buyers of the highest of high beta stocks while institutional investors were net sellers. I will let you join the dots on that one with timeline of events in the USA. Sure the mechanics of the market, regulation and technology, liquidity and institutional and trader behavior can be debated for ever and a day but the reality is that the hype that enveloped IMU during this time was way ahead of where many institutional and sophisticated investors who trade on superior valuation skills than the general public otherwise considered it should be. IMU is extremely ambitious and can however survive this set back but for now this stock is not only about science but also cash flow and finance. The often used excuse of blaming short sellers for anything and everything associated with its current position however only helps ensures however that history will repeat itself if not here but somewhere else.
