Umm ! Am thinking though that the asymmetric Risk not just in price movement and fees but also the loss of compounding income (or interest earning) potential from the holding of stagnant funds makes the real cost of re-opening unhedged shorts that expensive that the MC as a buyout proposition would arguably be a better risk scenario for some bigger end of town players.
