Yes true but the cost to hold shorts on a low MC and semi-liquid stock are excessive compared to other ' easier picking ' compound very quickly such that the potential asymmetric losses could in fact run higher than the current MC if a new and extended open short campaign was entered into. This is why the SP is dropping now as without the hedged liquidity provided by over 100M market maker open shorts the floor that was supporting IMU has now been lowered. My opinion only of course !
