With all the focus on interpreting the relevance of small time scale events on future of SP projections, it is easy to lose sight of the longer term picture. The price axis on this graph is logarithmic, that is, every 1% variation in share price measures the same vertical distance on the vertical axis.
The long term price trend changed mid October 2021. The slope of the trendline corresponds to an annual SP inctrease of 30% 1, 1.3, 1.69, 2.20 etc.
About 30 march, closing SP 12c, the beginning an accelerated (short term) trend of 3 legs up. The 2nd leg started on 30 April, closing price 19 c, and topped out on 7 May reaching a high of 29. The last leg topped out at 49.5 on 26 May and was exhausted by on 31 May, closing price 40.c the trendline for the last 2 legs represent, seeing a 101.5 % increase of the SP for the month, correspond to an unsustainable annual growth of 13,000 %. Although the retraction that followed is no surprise, it may well be that the the revaluation of the company has moved the original trendline (slope corresponding to 30% annual growth) vertically on the price axis by a measure corresponding to 60%, resulting in a new trendline above an parallel to the original one, but still well below the current SP.
Tentatively, I have shown this new trend line in the expectation that the current consolidation may well go on for some time while the market awaits news, and hopefully stays above it. Cheers Frits
