When analysing the chart, it is not necessary to assume any knowledge of past or future announcements or events or know who the company is or what the company does.
The future prediction is what may happen if the trend continues to proceed at the same rate as it has since about April 2021 (my chosen starting point, 390 trading days ago).

It's a prediction based on 'steady as she goes', it is expected to continue.

If there are significant announcements/events, the short term effect will be a spike or plunge in the share price. The perceived significance and (possibly calculated) value of the event, by the market participants, will affect how much the share price changes.

I have used linear regression on log scale with channels which each capture about 68% of historic prices. In their analysis, others will use different tools and methods to predict price movements. Either way, an advantage could be gained (especially if you trade) by correctly interpreting and acting upon the data. Adding in knowledge of expected good announcements will further confirm your conviction.
