Came across this today on the Chat with Traders podcast / YouTube channel. it’s fairly interesting in it’s entirety but at about the 43 minute mark this fund manager talks about the algorithms that are in use when they want to enter a large position.
i found this really interesting and puts a little bit of substance around some of the theories some posters have on here about institutional buying.
