Yes you’re spot on and great to see you have a handle on it.
The topic is trading and specifically the trading of IMU in this example. I did begin my example on a good spike but that was important as ParSar being a momentum indicator is best used when there is SP movement up and down ( well most indicators are to be honest). And for me to demonstrate the indicator properly, I needed good movement rather than just sideways Michael Jackson stuff.
Keep in mind that it is only 1 indicator and no doubt everyone would have read many times from quality chartists that you definitely need to use a few indicators in combination.
But if anyone was interested, do a backtest over the same period of 8/20 EMA crosses on the daily timeframe. Result might astound you.
