    Think of it this way, if a company comes to buy IMU and they offer $10B, do they adjust the offer because of SOI. MC is the EV of the company. The share price adjusts to suit the SOI and the MC. MC is the determining value of the business. As you’ve shown in your formula, SOI and share price are the variables to calc MC.
