I lodged a formal complaint on 12 Oct after I got the same "we don't deal in options" response. Following a suggestion on this thread, I've said I'm happy with an off market transfer to my non-super trading account. We'll see as that should set off regulatory alarm bells for release of super proceeds without meeting a condition of release. My gut feel is that they know they're in a corner and they can't open Member Direct to options. I suspect the end game is they will force sell the options in order to put the cash in our accounts. That's legally risky for them as well - imagine the potential class action if the SP, heaven forbid, actually took off!

The complaint proforma response says they'll give an update every 20 days - so middle to late next week I'll post what they say.

If they can't resolve after their 45 day resolution period, then the escalation path is to their regulatory supervising agency (AFCA?).

If we get to this point, then I suggest we need to coordinate possibly in the form of raising a collective issue to AFCA.
