"After reviewing the fifth round of testing results, DERM is advising Kingaroy landholders there is no need to continue restrictions on access to groundwater sources in the 2km radius.
"DERM's scientific staff consider the groundwater quality at neighbouring bores is comparable to the water quality shown in tests undertaken before the UCG plant commenced."

Further to Bozwell's legal point on another thread, I am interested to know if there is consensus here that the following is, in a nutshell, a concise statement of the boiled down truth of the Cougar situation. (Take a deep breath ... )
Notwithstanding the tens of thousands of words written and spoken in the media and at town hall meetings over the last month about the suspension of Cougar's Kingaroy operating permit, except for the DERM-confirmed error made by the testing laboratory, it would today be business-as-usual for Cougar, it's permit would never have been suspended, re-ignition at Kingaroy would have commenced as per company announcement in July and the company's shares would today be trading normally.
Please give this post the thumbs up to indicate your understanding that the foregoing is a fair statement of the truth of CXY's current situation.
