np, nah not really the way it works. With Cap Juby and TAO-1 I would have said success at Cap Juby made TAO-1 more likely (how much more? I don't know.. 10%?) but they were like two humps on a camel right next to each other (geologically speaking) and it didn't help. Hell, reservoir development within a single field isn't uniform, plenty of appraisal wells dust a mere couple of hundred metres from a good strike.
A wildcat is always going to be a pretty big gamble.
