It is time to open up society and let the virus rip.
That's your wish but the reality is different in Australia.
Our authorities have chosen the suppression path.
I'd expect high cases in Victoria for a few weeks yet.
Maybe next time there is a wave in the years ahead they might do something different.
My personal opinion from the start is that we should protect the elderly and vulnerable because lockdowns are unsustainable and there are more people prioritising their livelihoods than care about old folks dying a bit sooner.
