If you aren't wearing an N95 mask you're not maximising protection.
Those surgical masks won't stop side entry of virus.
Insofar as the OP, there's a good case for personal responsible action. I don't see it as capitulation of personal freedoms.
The free expressions and privacy guarantees we have lost to a so called "liberal" party over successive reigns are more of a concern to me. If a so called libertarian party stymies our speak, our mongrel, our bias, our human frailties and harvests our internet transactions, etc, what chance with vociferous socialism and woke as an alternative.
