Totally agree with you there. My experience with small holdings has been that you apply for a number, pay up, say, $5,000, then you get scaled back to a one tenth and the bulk of your money is 'locked up' until refunded in a couple of weeks; or longer. I also remember a time when interest rates were at 17%, which meant they had no incentive to return the funds in a hurry.
