    So sorry Goblin, am touched & sad for your loss as like everyone here, we have all been through losing a loved one.

    May I just add this last link though which may help:

    On Wed Oct 16th (at many places around Australia) there is a lovely twilight lantern walk which is for anyone at all who has known or lost someone to Cancer.
    We have walked this for a few years now since we lost my sister-in-law to breast cancer & it is beautiful to see so many lanterns lit up moving around in the night & to feel the love of other people around you as you walk along
    knowing many of them too have also recently lost someone.

    Anyway, here are the details:

    Light the Night is an inspirational memorable evening.

    Light the Night is an inspiring twilight walk for family and friends who gather to shine beautiful lanterns;

    White for blood cancer patients and survivors, Blue for supporters, and gold for those remembering a loved one lost.
    As night falls and the lanterns glow brightly, you will hear moving stories from people affected by blood cancer as the special moment arrives – a gentle scenic walk to Light the Night.

    Light the Night is an inspirational memorable evening.

    It’s free to sign up and walk. You must register prior to 5pm on Tuesday 15 October 2013 to receive your free lantern at the Pre-registered Walkers tent.

    If you don't register before 5pm on Tuesday 15 October you can pay $5 on the night to receive your lantern. If you don't wish to buy a lantern, you are welcome to walk without one.
