Perhaps 'practicalities' may have been a better choice of words? Although sunk costs or not, PCR still recognises a lot of recently, but not currently infectious people as simply positive does it not? And if we do indeed have a new variant with a shorter window from 'infected' to 'infectious' causing governments to call for a negative result within a day of departure... know what i'm getting at here?
