i used to get the train to work. I found i was getting sick with bad cold/ flu two to 4 times a year. People sneezing and coughing in the trains and in the office.... following the "soldier on" mentality and work through the sickness, as the colds flus circulated in the airconditioned 7 floors of office I worked in.
You don't need to be a genius to realise that Given the awareness of Covid-19, washing hands, Face masks, "stay home and get tested/isolated", "work from home if unwell" mantra has also worked in reducing other contagious viruses.
Since working from home since the start of lockdown in Queensland, i havent had a cold or flu. I had a sore throat and isolated for 36 hour while waiting for a negative result from the PCR test result.
