Did anyone imagine gold shares getting smashed like they are at US$1180 gold, with plenty of cases where gold companies are trading at a lower price than they were when gold was US$600 - US$700 on the way up to US$1000 the first time.
Even one of our sector leaders like NCM traded at over $31.00 in October 2007 when the gold price was just around US$800 - only around AUD900.
Gold is US$1180 today and around AUD1275, PLUS NCM is now unhedged!
This is crazy stuff imo.
