That makes a lot of sense. It's very likely that a deal is in making here and strategies are being deployed to keep a lid on share price.
The tentions in Middle East will provide the uplift in gold as well as motivation for board of acquirer company to press the button...
The only unknown is whether they wait for June production/cost data to be public or front run it based on what they see in the data room... In either case a deal seems not too far.
