    The fact is we are subject to buying and selling by international capital, hence why we are more correlated with direction of USD gold price. If its trending up, then AUD is also most likely trending up. Double whammy when you sell and convert your funds back into USD. Meanwhile, why not build a position on the cheap until the trend goes in that direction again?
