Could they defer the pain for another 2 years? After all of this stuff with Hunter, and looking at the state of Joe and ineptitude of Kamala, I can't see a way for the Dems to win the next election, and if they can't win, then might as well deploy a poison pill for the next adminisration.

I am not really a Trump supporter, but I do think a lot of what he said came to fruition.

The Biden administration has, either through design or incompetence, created a lot of pressures on the market, and unless there is a cold turkey approach - which I can't see happening, then I think what you say is true in that the next cycle will be much deeper and harsher.
