It's a federal issue. The conversation regarding monitoring operators who "jack up fees" was started by Scott Morrison, continued by Simon Birmingham and now Kate Ellis has approached the topic of capping the fees operators can charge.
The main problem is that, people such as yourself view early education as a service that enables parents to enter or remain in the workforce. Wrong, access to early education and care is the right of every child, irrespective of family circumstances. All children in Australia should have the right to access the best quality early education centres. It is up to governments and service providers to educate the community on the importance of children accessing quality programs in their preschool years.
G8 have a significant and important role to play in educating parents and the community on the importance of early childhood education and care and that in turn could possibly assist with improving occupancy levels.
Do I like the stock? I see enormous untapped potential in the provision of early education within G8. There are three main areas that IMO require reviewing and restructuring by management, to improve delivery of care and improve occupancy levels. Let's see what changes, if any are made.
