From what I can gather no rivers been polluted at all, the so called black substance colouring the water is in a klong ( small irrigation channel, once the rain stops & there's no flow which happens near our farm) & from my obse4vations over the last 7 years at this time of year after rainy season with temperatures still hot the waters in these klongs(they don't flow once rain stops) become stagnant & black . contributed to by the overuse of chemicals & whatever else theyre applying in rice production & the resulting runoff in the wet season.
