Squashy, no chance of that happening. The State has cancelled the Mining Licence, so no future mining allowed at Bendigo. And the mill has been sold off in bits and pieces and effectively there is no processing plant at the location. All that remain are serious liabilities. The State has returned the mining site to the Crown and issued that rehabilitation be commenced.
Unfortunately it is possible that mining may never occur again at Bendigo, at least not from the historic infrastructure
