    I believe there is a concerted effort underway to drive the USD higher at present.
    Just looking at the weekly and daily charts of the dollar and gold I think the USD is going higher still short term and gold is set to decline to near $750.

    I can't say I'd be buying the dollar but the chinese definately have a reason to be doing just that.
