    TRADING HALT REQUEST

    Mawson West Ltd requests that the ASX make a trading halt in the
    company's quoted securities.

    The company is currently finalising a detailed announcement
    concerning drilling results at the Maybell project. It is anticipated
    that the announcement will be available on Friday 25 October.
