These are not the statements one would expect from a leader of a compassionate society.
Triggs's approach in this matter is the antithesis of natural justice.
Don't tell the persons you're acting against of the allegations against them.
Develop a case in secret at public expense.
Adopt star chamber techniques.
Then when called to account, don't apologise.
And worse yet - blame the victims for failing to anticipate your own vindictiveness.
That's not respecting human rights.
