Roc OIl will likely report its June quarter results on Tuesday. They should show a significant increase in production as a result of wells coming on line at Beibu. More than enough to offset natural decline at Cliff Head. And Zhao Dong production should also be higher. Revenues should be up strongly and the outlook for the company appears pretty bright.

Problem is the baggage from past mistakes especially BMG and the awful public relations performance. If you look up the ASX company profile entry it still has Bruce Clement as CEO. It is a couple of years out of date. The website too is out of date.

And the lack of follow up releases to the market on developments at the Balai Cluster and at Beibu or the fact that it has been shortlisted apparently as a bidder on Myanmar Projects almost puts it in violation of its continuous disclosure requirements. It makes you wonder if the company is at all interested in shareholders.

They are a very comfortable lot at Roc seven well paid members on the Board and some equally well paid executives. Including CEO Alan Linn who took home US$1.6 million last year.

Today there is a seller in the market for a parcel of shares worth $300,000. Are we about to get some bad news in the quarterly or is it jusr someone who bought shares at $4.00 back in 2006 finally exiting.

Come on ROC true value in the market is along term proposition right now you have to participate in the popularity stakes. How about a bit of promotion.
