I have to admit I did it in my head twice and got 5,000.
Thought to myself that’s just too neat.
Then looked carefully and saw there were only 4 x 1,000’s so the answer couldn’t be 5,000.
The eye/mind sees that last 10 and knows you just counted to 4090 and makes the leap to + 10 makes that nice round 5,000 … written down nobody would make that mental misstep … that’s the only way I can explain it.
