this may have already been mentioned on this thread but thought it worthwhile pointing out many of the senior management team leading MPO were originally brought across with lower renumeration but the added bonus of an equity stake through options packages and I view these incentive options as more of the same...
MPO can't afford to pay top $ to keep the likes of Ian G on their team especially with so many CBM rivals needing expert advice in an area short of expert talent...
incentive options are a way of keeping the best talent as long as performance matches the reward and I view entry into the 200 as perfect example of management ticking the boxes, market cap has continued to grow, as do reserves...
I believe the current CFO came across from Merrils or GSJBW (can't remember who) on less then what he was on at the IB but was given an options package that is now virtually worthless... how does an emerging company keep this talent?? pay top $?? or issue a new incentive??
