Maybe it would have been better to use the word "compensation" rather than "incentive". Looking at the remuneration report in the 2008 accounts I suspect management is not overpaid - even when taking the options into account - csm and allied experience is in demand and I feel they are doing a good job.
The alternative is to pay cash and imo that's an inferior solution in a cash constrained world.
