Interesting article in today's Australian concerning IPL.
They called 19 companies to tender to supply 15PJ of gas commencing 2020. Of the 19 asked to tender, only one did so but for only 10% of the required volume. East Coast gas is costing above $12 GJ.

Central Petroleum have contracted to supply gas from the Northern Territory until December 2019, but that cost IPL an extra $50mln, double its original supply. Since they are unable to secure gas, the future of the Gibson Island fertiliser plant and 450 jobs are in jeopardy.
