not so most of the trading 80% in fact in $$$ terms is fund managers and corparates who pay less tax on sharemarket trading - it might kill the retail / small cap boom day trader set - but the more $$$ goes to the federal government the more they plough back into the economy in spending so it ends up back at the corparates
Only those that earn money pay tax.
