One other thing to bear in mind is that no matter what the procedure or operation reason, if it is open heart surgery they need to open the pericardium ....the same skin sack around the human heart as that around the cows heart from which cardiocel is made.
Cardiocel can also be used for closing the pericardium...opening the market even further.
