Someone may have already pointed this out but in case not here is my contribution.

As a lot are posting about intra-day moves I thought I would offer some balance with a bigger picture view.

DOW chart with a channel defined by the 1987 Low, 2000 Top & 2009 Low.

Price levels defined by those points are rather telling.

I think Voltaire may have mentioned a while back we are 18 years from 2000 top. That cycle and it's harmonics land on a lot of major turns. Not surprising though, 18 years = 216 months or 144 x 1.5.
5 cycles (1080 months) back is Jan 1928 which is where I think we currently are although it is difficult seeing it put on another 50% as it did from then to the top in 1929.  Perhaps we have arrived early or 89 years Trumps 90.
