    Morning guys,

In an effort to enlighten Nasty1, I'd like to suggest that not everybody who posts on HC has an ulterior motive or a purely financially driven purpose.

HC is a community of people who share a common interest and oftentime share insightful knowledge and research.

In part this can assist in their own decision process as writing stuff down coherently that others can read helps with ordering thoughts and logic flows. In part I think it is also altruistic - i.e. wanting to help other investors.

This is probably more so in a sector like the gold miners where it is a much smaller community of people on HC and we are investing in what is one of the most volatile sectors of the market full of companies and management teams who are more interested in mining investors for money than their deposits.

I fully appreciate worzel's efforts to let the community know about BDR's less than full-and-frank R&R disclosure. This is the latest in a long line of accounting and narrative trickery that has led me to have a less than trusting view of the management.

Capitalising operating costs to the low grade ore stockpile to reduce AISC in one period and then writing off the capitalised stockpile in another period is another point that is simply unacceptable and should mean BDR is an AVOID.

If you choose to ignore or question the posts of others that have a less than sanguine view of a company, fair enough. It's your money.

I would suggest, however, that you take the time to read through all of the posts on QIN, formerly a company that grew Sandalwood trees in Australia and which is now in liquidation.

There were posters there, notably Hot Tuna, who pointed out all the discrepancies within the company but who was shouted down by "believers". Ultimately that cost those investors everything.

Sometimes people want to share and contribute to a group. Perhaps, by contributing they, like me, hope that when roles are reversed, and they have some good analysis or information they will share it with me and the community and thus we are all better informed in making investment decisions where we, as smaller guys, are up against big institutional investors and, sometimes, unscrupulous management teams.

For good analysis and discussion about gold generally, I'd suggest a switch to the RSG forum for those interested. IMO BDR is a "don't touch" until something materially changes within the management team and Board.

    Cheers
    John
