Speaking to Comsec, the reason that many people may not automatically get allocated the stock to their HINs is because on the online application form it did not say to include your title (ie Mr, Mrs, Ms) where you would have put your name. If the name on your HIN (which automatically includes your title) and your name on the application form does not exactly match, it won't hit your HIN but it will go to an SRN. If this is correct, then the person designing the web-site has a lot to answer for for leaving off the title on the form. Class action against the web designer?
