Goldbear you are so right. Having been the pricing manager for a very large electricity distributor. I can concur it is a far better surrogate for industry change than any census or bank survey data.
It is dissectable to a vary granular level - geographic, industry type and client size. Ownership of the data going forward in the national electricity market will be a vexing issue though. As to the extent that someone like Buddy...or the subsequent owner of the Ohm technology, is allowed to use such data will be interesting.
