Itabirite worth in comparison to DSO?
IMO, the cost for extracting Fe out of Itabirite is quite high as the ore needs to be ground and then feed through a flotation process, followed by drying and pelletisation.
Process is rather lengthy and hence costly.
DSO is as simple as scoop up and ship. Hematite is already high in Fe concentration, so concentration is not often required.
