Net shorts reduced 650k to 3.8m last Thursday, lowest level since 3 June 2016.

It's coincidence with few institutions started buying back named ITG, CLSA, Goldman Sachs:
During last Wednesday to last Friday:
    CLSA - bought 525k @48.59c
    ITG - bought 399k @ 49.4c
    Deutsche - bought net 305k @52.7c
    Goldman Sachs 243k @48.9c

    Citi was still selling.

Also, there was one block sale of 2.5m @48c this Monday. Might be someone bought from BoA.
