I work in the removals and storage industry, you'll pay $1000+ if you're too lazy to do anything yourself.
If you're savvy and not afraid to do some lifting yourself then it will cost you a fraction of that.
Also those that move semi-regularly tend not to accumulate heaps of junk which tends to make moving a lot easier as well.
