Housing and rents are just like any other product, you charge what you can get. It is a business not a charity, provide a good product that the market wants and in slack times keep rents steady and in high demand charge the max. By all means keep the customers happy but they pay up or go, plenty more around at moment. You people seem to think private rentals are some sort of not for profit social club. Business is business.
