Flame retardants leave toxic legacy in Mich.

Studies have found 60 percent of Michigan residents have high levels of the flame retardant polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) in their bodies 40 years after it was mixed with animal feed in the region.
These residents are at a higher risk for reproductive problems, thyroid and liver issues, and low immune system levels, according to Dr. Michele Marcus of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
For resident Jane-Ann Nyerges, a childhood on a family farm led to a series of miscarriages as an adult. She thinks PBB may be to blame (Linda Gittleman, Mount Pleasant [Mich.] Morning Sun, April 29).
Presenters at the Intergenerational Risk From Environmental Contamination Conference at Alma College in Alma, Mich., said residents need to speak up so regulators know the locations of contaminants such as buried cows containing PBB.
"These are people who really do care," said Matthew Tejada, director of U.S. EPA's Office of Environmental Justice, part of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. "They want to listen to you" (Linda Gittleman, Mount Pleasant [Mich.] Morning Sun, April 30). --"


What people don't get about Alexium is - that we have all heard Gavin say - and, I think Bob Brookins also said it - that the market is coming towards us.

What most don't get is that this isn't a Mini Minor coming towards us - this is an entire truck fleet - and, no gaps between trucks.

From the little releases so far - we can see that there is some awareness - which Nick is assisting along markedly.

However, what people don't see is that questioning of the chemicals atm is illegal - and, when the legislation presently in Congress passes - all hell is going to break loose.

Once there is no threat of law breaking by investigation - the cat really is out of the bag - and, even if the EPA is slow to react - others won't be - and, this will be news over and over and over - far far bigger than asbestos ever was.

Which is exactly and precisely why Alexium is to be positioned across multiple markets - for when the tidal wave breaks.

This is not going to be like paddling in a smooth sea - wading in sunshine at the waters edge - this is going to turn into a storm churned wild ocean - and, we will be continually smashed with huge waves.
